Thank you for your interest in becoming the next Executive Director Membership and Commercial.

The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) is committed to advocating for the crucial contributions of the Further Education (FE) and skills workforce. Through collaborative efforts, we promote professionalism by establishing standards for teaching and leadership excellence in the sector. We offer educators a continuum of professional development opportunities, advocate for inclusivity, and facilitate sector-wide transformation to foster a vibrant FE and skills landscape. Together, we are dedicated to enhancing the lives and prospects of learners aged 14 and above.

We have set out our new strategic vision, Together we Transform, placing sector voices at its heart. Our four strategic goals are to:

• Drive professionalism: Central to our mission is providing educators and leaders with top-tier development opportunities while advocating for the professionalism of our dynamic sector. This commitment has been and will remain at the core of our endeavours.
• Improve teaching and learning: At the heart of our approach lies the belief that empowering educators and leaders leads to exceptional learning outcomes for students. Through offering unparalleled professional development and training opportunities, we aim to equip educators to positively impact the lives of learners aged 14 and above.
• Champion inclusion: Our aim is to foster a sense of belonging and inclusivity across the Further Education and skills sector. We strive to create learning environments that embrace diversity and empower every learner to flourish. By integrating inclusive practices into our initiatives and advocating for inclusivity throughout the sector and society, we aim to enhance social mobility and ensure that our workforce and curriculum are representative of the learners and communities we serve.
• Enable sector change: The rapid pace of technological advancement, evolving economic dynamics, and demographic shifts are reshaping both national and global education priorities. Within this context, the significance of the Further Education and skills sector in England has become increasingly pivotal.

Following an exciting period of transformation we are looking forward to bring on board an Executive Director Membership and Commercial. Visionary and strategic, you will have strong commercial acumen. As a key member of our Executive team, you will have a diverse range of responsibilities, ranging from overseeing our membership and accreditation operations, offering excellent value and customer experience, to introducing a lean way to our programme delivery, ensuring we have an agile supply chain to respond to different models and delivery of our own products. You will also oversee business development, negotiating and bidding for contracts, as well as developing new products for sale.

We are seeking a commercial leader, who will bring a proven track record of organisational transformation, extensive experience of contract delivery and experience of membership models.
